Justice Sandra Perez has dedicated more than 30 years to the practice of law, serving the people of Queens with compassion, integrity, and excellence. Her elevation from the New York City Civil Court to the Supreme Court is a testament to her remarkable career and unwavering commitment to justice. A Founding and Advisory Board Member of our Association, Justice Perez has mentored countless attorneys, advocated for access to justice, and served as an example of leadership within our Latino legal community.
Justice Gary F. Miret, now formerly a Judge of the New York State Court of Claims, brings to the Supreme Court a record of thoughtful judgment, professionalism, and fairness. Throughout his judicial service, he has earned a reputation for diligence, respect, and dedication to upholding the rule of law. His election reflects the confidence the people of Queens have placed in his integrity and experience.
Together, Justices Perez and Miret represent the very best of our legal community, leaders whose accomplishments inspire future generations of Latino lawyers and jurists. Their elections mark not only personal triumphs but also collective progress toward a more representative and equitable judiciary.
