Vivian R. Cedeño is a seasoned criminal defense attorney with approximately 25 years of experience. Vivian is a bilingual attorney of Ecuadorian descent who was born and raised in Queens County. She graduated from Queens College and then went on to obtain her JD from Brooklyn Law School. She served for over a decade as a prosecutor with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office handling homicide cases for the Domestic Violence Bureau. She also served as Deputy Bureau Chief of the CCRB. In 2016, Vivian became the principal attorney and owner of the Law Office of Vivian R. Cedeño where she practices criminal defense. Vivian also serves on the Second Department Assigned Counsel Felony and Homicide panels. 

She is happily married to Jose Nieves, also a criminal defense attorney, and together they have two adult children.
