Desiree M. Claudio is a Principal attorney at Claudio & Associates, P.C. with offices in Queens, N.Y. C. where she specializes in Matrimonial Law & Family Law.
Prior to becoming a principal attorney with her own growing firm with associates, she started a solo practice in New York where she handled complex deportation and removal proceedings in immigration court, as well trying DWI’s in municipal court, filing chapter 7 bankruptcy’s and handling Family Law matters. Desiree was also an associate at Roman & Associates, where she handled all aspects of the family law section including Divorces, post judgment motions, child support, custody and more. Prior to that, Desiree served as a Superior Court Law Clerk to the Honorable John A. Jorgensen, J.S.C. in the fast paced Family Court in Middlesex County, Desiree handled all aspects of the Motion work including being responsible for writing bench memorandums and assisting the Judge in all aspects of his work.

During Law School, Desiree worked at New Jersey Legal Services, Essex County handling high profile predatory lending cases and foreclosure rescue scams helping homeowners to stay in their homes after being preyed upon through fraudulent mortgages. Desiree also worked on a special project handling expungements for thousands of underserved clients. In addition, Desiree worked for the NYS attorney general’s office handling consumer complaints.
Desiree attained a B.A. in Political Science from Long Island University in 2004, a Master’s Degree in Urban Policy from The New School University in 2006 and a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark in 2009.
