Lawyer Referral Service (LRS)

The Latino Lawyers Association of Queens County (LLAQC) Lawyer Referral Service helps individuals connect with qualified, experienced attorneys in Queens County. This bilingual referral service ensures that Spanish-speaking clients and all members of the community receive access to high-quality legal representation.

Areas of Law Covered:

Family & Matrimonial Law (Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support)
Personal Injury (Auto Accidents, Slip & Falls, Workplace Injuries)
Medical Malpractice (Doctor & Hospital Negligence, Birth Injuries)
Criminal Defense (Misdemeanors, Felonies, DWI/DUI)
Immigration (Green Cards, Citizenship, Deportation Defense)

For the Public: How It Works

Fill out the online request form to be matched with an attorney.
A qualified lawyer will review your request and contact you directly.
The first 30-minute consultation costs $35 or is free depending on the case type.
If you choose to hire the attorney, all fees will be arranged directly between you and the lawyer.
If an attorney is not needed, you may be referred to other helpful resources.

No obligation to hire the attorney after the consultation.

The $35 consultation fee is waived for:

Personal Injury & Medical Malpractice cases (handled on contingency).

All attorneys in the referral program:

Are licensed in New York State and in good standing.
Have been screened and vetted.
Maintain professional liability insurance.

The Latino Lawyers Association of Queens County Lawyer Referral Service is accepting applications for attorneys practicing in:

Family & Matrimonial Law
Personal Injury
Medical Malpractice
Criminal Law
Immigration Law

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be an attorney in good standing with the New York State Bar.
Maintain professional liability insurance.
Have at least two years of experience in the selected practice areas.
Agree to offer an initial 30-minute consultation for $35 or waive the fee where applicable.
Follow LRS Rules & Guidelines, including fair pricing and ethical standards.

Membership Fees:

$395 Annual Membership Fee (includes one practice area).
$100 for each additional practice area (up to five total).

Download and complete the attorney application form (PDF).
Email the completed form and proof of malpractice insurance with declaration page to [email protected].

Panelist Selection Process:

Applications are reviewed by the LLAQC LRS Committee.
Approved attorneys will be interviewed and onboarded.
Once active, attorneys are placed in a fair referral rotation.
